Battle painter. Since 1900 he lived in Balta. From 1908 he studied at the Odessa Art School, and then from 1914 at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg with the battle painter N. S. Samokish. He interrupted his studies due to the outbreak of World War I. He took part in the war effort in the 1st volunteer corps under the command of Gen. A. Kutiepov. In 1920, with the White Army troops, he was evacuated to Gallipoli. In 1930 he took part in the Great Exhibition of Russian Art in Belgrade. In 1945 he settled in Starnberg near Munich. His paintings were exhibited in solo exhibitions in Munich, Stuttgart and Venezuela. They are currently in museums in Serbia, America and Germany.
