Graduated from the painting department of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1975, in the studio of Stefan Gierowski. In 1973-1976 he worked with Marian Bogusz, later, in the 1980s, with Foksal Gallery and Henryk Stażewski. In 1988, he emigrated to Israel and then moved to New York in 1994. He was the recipient of the Minister of Culture and Art Award several times, and also received awards from the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture (New York 1898), and the Karen Tel-Aviv for lierature and Art (1991). He was involved in easel painting, wall painting and the problems of painting in architecture. He was the author of wall compositions in Poland. In the last years of his life he was mainly engaged in painting, printmaking and photography, as well as creating wooden structures. A strong influence of Stażewski's and Strzemiński's work can be seen in Budziszewski's paintings.
