French Impressionist painter. He grew up in Normandy. Initially intended to be an engineer, but soon decided to become a painter. In 1922 he moved to Arles, where he studied painting and set up a studio. He painted frescoes in the town halls of Saint-Martin-de-Crau and Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, in the Museon Arlaten and the dining room of the Collège Ampère in Arles. He designed the stained glass windows of the Saint-Louis church in Marseille. In 1935, he moved to Paris. In 1940, he returned to Arles. In the 1950s he attracted the attention of American art collectors. He exhibited at the Galerie Petrides, Salon d'Automne, Salon des Tuileries and Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, as well as galleries in Cannes, Nice, Marseille and Strasbourg. In 1954, he settled in Bois-d'Arcy.
