Waldemar SCHLICHTING
1896 Berlin - 1970 Berlin
German marine artist. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin under von Blank, Kartausey and Kahle. He also studied at the Academy in Königsberg. In 1925-39 he painted regularly in the Niden art colony on the Curonian Spit. He also periodically lived on the Frisian island of Sult. His paintings are in museums in Cuxhaven and Schwerin, among others.
