1876-1954
Danish painter. He trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen (1893). Known for his series of romantic landscapes from all over Denmark. Beck traveled and worked throughout Europe - he visited Italy in 1908-1920, the Netherlands in 1913 and Germany in 1922-1937. His works are characterized by precise details and bright colors. Beck carefully selected open air locations and tried to capture all the beauty of the place he saw.
