Educated at the art colleges of Krakow (School of Fine Arts 1884/5 - 1888/9) and Munich (1888 - 1890). He made his debut in 1890 at the Cracow Society of Friends of Fine Arts. In 1892 he settled in Warsaw and from that year, for many years his paintings appeared in exhibitions at "Zachęta", of which he was a full member, and at the Salon of Aleksander Krywult and Stefan Kulikowski. Puacz painted a lot, in the early period he created under the influence of his studies in Munich, i.e.: costume genre scenes, studies, but in general he focused on portraits, landscape representations and still lifes with flowers.
