Marian PUCHALSKI
1912 - 1970
Studied at the University of Warsaw (1930-34) and the School of Fine Arts (1937-39). During the war he was in the oflag in Woldenberg. He practiced printmaking (woodcut) and design, watercolor and oil. He became famous for his vedutas - primarily watercolor paintings - depicting Warsaw. His works are in the collections of the Historical Museum, the Ossolineum and the Polish Museum in Chicago. In 1945, his individual exhibition was held in Lodz. He regularly participated in the Biennale of Graphics in Cracow.
