The serigraphs from the Flowers series were printed in an edition of 250, signed and numbered. In 1970, original stencils from which 250 prints were made were brought to the artist's exhibitions in Europe, stamped on the back in black ink: published by Sunday B. Morning and fill in your own signature. Due to the popularity of the first edition, Sunday B. Morning made a second edition with stamps in blue ink. They are of the same quality as the author's prints, are included in the Andy Warhol Print Catalogue Raisonne and are also collector's items.
Andy WARHOL
1928 - 1987
Leading artist of the 20th century who became a legend already in his lifetime. He studied at the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh from 1945 to 1949, and moved to New York in 1949, where he took on various jobs, including advertising graphic designer for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar magazines, as well as shoe designer and exhibition decorator at the Bonwit Teller department store. From 1954, he showed his works in solo exhibitions and won awards. In 1956 he traveled to Europe. He initiated the 1960s with his first paintings with a Coca-Cola bottle motif. Continuing with this and similar themes (Campbell's soup cans, banknotes, portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor, processing of reporter's photos of accidents, etc.) he entered the forefront of pop art artists. In 1962, the Factory, Warhol's studio, which hosted, among others, crews making experimental films, the rock group The Velvet Underground, artists, freaks, not to mention assistants who performed numerous works under the supervision of the boss, began to function.
